After working for a number of tech start ups, Sara found her way to the real estate industry. She is the former National Director for Interactive Marketing for Coldwell Banker Canada, where she was responsible for an extensive training program traveling to offices across the country. In 2005 she put her teaching into practice and joined a brokerage in Edmonton, Alberta.

In 2012, Sara and her partner Sheldon Johnston decided the franchised brand they were with was no longer a good fit. So, they repositioned the firm, developed its brand strategy, and created Liv Real Estate.

Liv offers a fresh perspective to real estate, with a new outlook on dotted lines and traditional relationships between agents and homeowners. The boutique brokerage has a dominant online presence in Edmonton; their web site (www.edmontonrealestate.pro) gets over 330,000 user sessions and 4 million pageviews a month, generating enough leads to support 25 very productive agents. In 2014, the brokerage generated over $200 million in sales, 65% of which came from leads from their web site.

Liv Real Estate is a finalist for an Inman Innovator Award this year.
